ABOUT

I am a Virologist (Biologist) by profession and currently working as a Post Doctoral Scientist in Germany. I am deeply devoted to portraying the beauty of my surroundings; my roots are in Bharat (India).

I began my journey of Photography in 2019 when I primarily began my doctoral research with the prestigious DAAD Doctoral Scholarship in Germany. With the money I saved up from a scholarship, I bought my first ever DSLR—a Nikon 5600 with two kit lenses—and I vividly remember the day. From that point on, I took my first shots, and I must say, just holding a camera has been an incredible blessing. It was a long and winding road to master the fundamentals of photography, including the principles of exposure, camera operation, lenses, and techniques. Eventually, I upgraded my camera to a Nikon D7500. I sold my camera gear in 2022 with a heavy heart because my research quickly consumed much of my time. After that, I started to feel guilty whenever I took in a stunning visual scene.

I purchased the Nikon Z9, together with lenses and a tripod, after completing my PhD in 2024. It is the best camera I have ever owned. I still do not let a day go by without engaging in some form of photography or photography-related studies. Whether it's through software, new techniques, crazy technical knowledge, or simply observing what makes a great image, I'm always learning something new about photography. Please take a moment to review my work and let me know what you think of my journal entry. Together, we can illuminate our surroundings :-)
